Gisel Flores-Montoya, assistant professor of psychology, published a review article titled, “The C-C Chemokine Receptor 7: An Immune Molecule that Modulates Central Nervous System Function in Homeostasis and Disease,” in the Journal of Brain, Behavior, and Immunity – Health. This review article integrates and discusses recent findings elucidating the pathways of communication between the central nervous system and peripheral immunity, via CCR7, and discusses the role of meningeal lymphatic vessels and draining cervical lymph nodes for regulating neuroimmunity and behavior.
