Julia Strand, associate professor of psychology, and co-author Violet Brown ’17 published an article in a special issue of the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research on promoting reproducibility for the speech, language and hearing sciences. Their paper, “Preregistration: Practical Considerations for Speech, Language, and Hearing Research,” describes the benefits of specifying research protocols, hypotheses and analytic plans prior to data collection and the best practices for how to do so.
