This grant aims to support instructors who want to include a public scholarship component related to some ethical issue in their class. We invite proposals for bringing class work on any ethical issue (broadly construed) to the larger public through (for example) blogs, poster sessions, a forum at the public library. The grant will support summer work of up to 3 weeks of full time work ($1,000/wk) to develop the plan for public scholarship on some ethical issue as well provide a small stipend ($500) to cover the additional work of running a public scholarship activity while the class is going on. Additional funds for covering modest expenses related to the public scholarship (please include request in your budget as best you can).
