You will receive a department planning form in January for your use in thinking about faculty non-teaching commitments for the next three years. This form serves as a tool for bringing your colleagues together for planning purposes. You will be planning your courses for the next two years during this time, and you will also need to see the overall picture so you can make sure sabbatical plans are in the best interest of the department, any interdisciplinary programs in which you or your colleagues participate, and the College. Plans for retirements, serving as chair, and reviews should also be discussed as part of this process.

Ensure that your colleagues consult with directors of programs to which they contribute during this process.

This information will be due to the Provost’s Office in March.
