In May each year the Provost will request from you a “State of Your Department” (or Program) year-end report which will be due in July. The Provost will ask you to report on your department or program’s achievements, activities, issues and concerns.

Before writing your report, you are urged to talk with each regular member of the department/program. Annual reports will be read by the Provost, Associate Provosts, and the President. We encourage you to share a draft of your report with your department colleagues before submitting it.

This sounds like a bigger job than it is. You will already be aware of most of what you want to include and the Provost appreciates concise prose as much as anyone.
