Advising
Spring 2025 Grading Deadlines
Spring 2025 Senior Grades Due: Wednesday, June 11 by 8:30 A.M. (submitted in Workday). This deadline is very important as Senior Academic Review takes place Wednesday afternoon. Missing grades could impact a senior’s graduation and commencement status.
Spring 2025 Grades Due (First-Years Through Juniors): Wednesday, June 18 by 8:30 A.M. (submitted in Workday).
Tips and Reminders for Entering Final Grades in Workday:
- Grades can be entered through the My Teaching App or by using the Assign Student Grades for Student Course Section task. A step-by-step tutorial is available to assist you.
- Student-Opted S/Cr/NC Grades: You will submit the letter-grade equivalent and the system will convert the grade to S*, Cr*, or NC*. Courses offered on a mandatory S/Cr/NC basis (“scrunch-only”) will only show S, Cr, or NC as possible grades.
- Low Grades (D+, D, D-, F, Cr, NC, Cr*, NC*) require a form submission in Workday using the Create Student Low Grade Form task (formerly known as the D/F Form). You can submit the form after you have submitted your grades in Workday.
Fall 2025 Waitlist Processing
Manual waitlist processing for Fall 2025 has begun and will continue until the last day of exams, Monday, June 9th, at 5:00 PM. Waitlist processing will be paused over the summer; we will resume processing requests at the end of New Student Week.
You can email your waitlist requests to waitlist@carleton.edu. For more information, please see our Waitlists webpage.
Departmental Advising Plans
Thank you to those of you that have already filled out your advising plan. If you have not already done so, please fill out this simple Google Form by 5pm, June 13, 2025. The information provided will allow our office to get a sense of the number of advising slots that departments prefer to allocate to liberal arts advising. Please note, however, that this indicates preference and is not a binding number and we may reach out to departments and individual faculty concerning their advising load.
