Considering a career in the health professions (medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, etc.)? Carleton is an excellent choice for getting an undergraduate liberal arts education that will prepare you for success in the field. The Office of Pre-Health Advising is part of the Academic Division (Office of the Provost), and is here to help you plan your course work, think about your summer and winter break activities, and gain exposure in the healthcare field.
Each year about 50 Carleton students and alumni apply to medical school, 2–3 to dental school, 0–2 to veterinary school, and a few more to other programs such as public health, physical therapy, and nursing.
