What is pharmacy?

Pharmacy is a health care field that combines science and communicative skills into a rewarding career of helping and advising fellow community members on how best to handle their medical situations. You are always working in a team, whether with other pharmacists or pharmacy technicians. The work environment is more of a family atmosphere, with close-knit bonds being formed over time with your peers. As a pharmacist, you are a part of your whole community. You are entrusted with personal information and knowledge to be used to inform and guide your fellow community members. The rewards of pharmacy are felt the second you are able to help someone looking for answers and help about their medical situation.  

There are multiple kinds of pharmacists, the most abundant being retail pharmacy. Pharmacy is 4 years of study with an additional 1-2 years of residency. Find more information about pharmacy here:
