University of Kentucky Master’s in Forensic Toxicology and Analytical Genetics Outside link
19 May 2026This two-year program has two areas of concentration: one concentration is focused on forensic toxicology/chemistry and the second on forensic/analytical genetics. Through the common core curriculum, students in both concentrations will have foundational information and skill set in advanced forensic science, writing, communication, professionalism, ethics, legal perspectives, and workplace-specific laboratory skills. Through a rigorous targeted finishing curriculum in either concentration, including internship experiences and cognate elective courses, the graduates will be competitive for workforce deployment in the areas of private industry drug testing, private DNA analysis, forensic governmental divisions, and hospital clinical labs.

This fall term, the University of Minnesota Medical School will be hosting their annual Biomedical Sciences Graduate Programs Preview Weekend, a program designed to actively recruit prospective students into PhD programs in the biomedical sciences. The Medical School recognizes the importance of representation in the biomedical sciences and the benefits and successes that come from a diverse workforce. Transportation, meals, and lodging are fully covered.

- The program will start on Thursday, October 8, 2026 and run through Friday, October 9, 2026

The University of Minnesota is home to leading clinical and translational research programs focused on improving outcomes for children diagnosed with cancer and blood diseases. They support comprehensive clinical, research, and education programs with a focus on five core areas: epidemiology, leukemia, brain tumors, solid tumors (sarcomas), and childhood cancer survivorship. They are currently looking for exceptional undergraduate students to complete an 11-week, intensive research experience, designed to provide immersive research training for students interested in a career in academic research/medicine. Each student will conduct a small, independent research project focused on a scientific question using computational biology. Over the course of the summer, students will attend weekly presentations and meetings. Students will be expected to informally discuss their research results in laboratory and group meetings. A student’s work will be directly supervised by a faculty member or a designated post-doctoral associate working in the laboratory. At the end of the summer, students will present their research at the UMN Summer Undergraduate Research Expo.

Clinical Research Study Coordinator Position at Feinberg School of Medicine (paid full time hourly position)
10 February 2026Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine is looking for (Monday-Friday) research study coordinators. Research experience is not required. The position could be full time (40 hours per week) for candidates graduating in December. We are also interested in interviewing candidates who may be available part time prior to June graduation (who could then transition to full-time work). The position involves completing a variety of clinical research tasks including data collection, data entry, and study recruitment. Research coordinators will work at Northwestern Memorial Hospital with study participants. Coordinators will gain valuable research experience, including taking blood pressures in the arms and legs and drawing blood (if interested in learning – blood draws are not required). We are looking for dedicated, hard-working, conscientious individuals who work well in a team and can work comfortably with older men and women who have ongoing medical problems.
