Under the supervision of Dr Mayumi Prins, the incumbent will serve as a research assistant supporting research studies in traumatic brain injury to address concussion recovery in preclinical models. The incumbent will assist with research tasks, perform data collection and management, maintain accurate record keeping. Under supervision, the incumbent will be trained on experimental procedures until able to work independently.
Incumbent will be trained in various tasks including behavioral assessments, blood sampling, surgical procedures, mitochondrial respiration assays, western blot and immunohistochemical analyses. Additionally, the incumbent will also be involved in management of lab equipment that requires servicing under the supervision of the senior technicians. While performing all tasks, the candidate must respond diplomatically, professionally, be punctual and respond to emails in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Graduating Senior
- Major: Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, or related
- GPA: 3.2 Minimu
- Interest in Neuroscience, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Research

- Lab experience
