The Hormel Institute at the University of Minnesota offers a 10-week, paid summer internship program for undergraduate students interested in gaining experience working in a research lab.
The SURE (Summer Undergraduate Research Experience) program matches interns with PIs at the Hormel Institute, allowing them to work on research projects to expand their knowledge of basic research as well as learn about research equipment and techniques.
Students are selected based on their high level of academic achievement, recommendations, their area of study and plans to pursue careers in science-related fields.
