Emergency Care Consultants (ECC) is currently hiring scribes to start this coming summer and fall. Typical candidates include undergraduate students on a pre-health track or health-adjacent majors (Biology, Physiology, Chemistry, etc.). Many of ECC’s scribes are either current undergraduate students or students taking a gap year between undergrad and medical school.
As a scribe with ECC, you will have the ability to work side-by-side with physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, as well as numerous other medical staff. You will learn how to document a chart, master medical terminology, learn how to read lab values and radiology imaging, watch numerous patient encounters, and so much more. We also provide opportunities outside of scribing including education sessions, practice interviews, volunteer and leadership opportunities, and social events.
ECC’s full-time scribe position is designed for college graduates (associates/bachelor/masters degree) who are taking a gap year before they attend medical, PA or NP school. Full-time commitment is one year and will work a minimum of 18 shifts per month.
