The 2026 SHAPE Mentoring Program Virtual Winter Conference will be held on January 16th, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. This event will provide a FREE opportunity for undergraduate students who are pursuing medical school to carefully explore different approaches to navigating the pre-med journey while receiving guidance on how to access tools that are essential for taking further steps towards the admissions process. Mini Dental School is a free annual event put together by dental students and the admissions committee at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. This event includes 7 online lecture series that are held over Zoom, as well an one in-person session held at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where you will get to speak with current dental students and the admissions committee. Completing this application will enroll you in the Zoom lecture series and participant selection for the in-person series will be based on responses through this form as well as attendance. If you attend 6 of the 7 online lectures, you will receive an ASDA Certificate of Completion! Please refer to the official flyer for more information!

This virtual workshop will provide an in-depth review of the AAMC competencies, personal statements, and secondary applications. Participants will also partake in a mock interview. The Application Prep Workshop is designed to support students who have experienced social, economic, and/or educational disadvantages in their journey to medical education, come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and/or who represent groups that are known to be underrepresented in health-related sciences and medicine.  Applicants must anticipate submitting an AMCAS application for the 2026 or 2027 entering class. Applicants must also be either a US citizen, permanent resident, or asylee/refugee. Apply here.

The University of Miami is now accepting applications for their virtual EXCITE seminar, which is focused on generating interest in medical careers among Black undergraduate students. The workshop will be held on February 6th, and the deadline to apply is January 23rd.
