We are an interdisciplinary molecular biology lab that uses yeast as a model system to study how cells ensure the correct distribution of chromosomes to daughter cells when they ultimately divide.
We are seeking someone to perform bench-level experiments, provide technical research assistance, and assist in general lab organization. The anticipated duration for this position is a minimum of two years.

Research Technician Position in the Stavropoulos Lab at Rutgers Waksman Institute of Microbiology Outside link
14 February 2024The Stavropoulos laboratory at the Waksman Institute and Rutgers University is seeking a full-time research technician to perform research on the mechanisms that regulate sleep. Our studies use the fruit fly Drosophila to characterize genes and brain circuits underlying sleep-wake cycles.
Bachelor’s degree in science and prior laboratory experience are required. Emphasis in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or neuroscience is helpful. Candidates should be highly motivated, enthusiastic about research, and able to work both collaboratively and independently. This opportunity provides an ideal training environment for those pursuing careers in scientific research and medicine. A two-year commitment is required. 8 February 2024Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) is offering clinical research internship opportunities in 6 different pediatric sub-specialty areas: Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, General Pediatrics, Nephrology, Neurology, Infectious Disease, and Neonatology. Students may apply for an internship position in any or all of these 6 pediatric sub-specialty areas. The application deadline for the Gap Year internships is Sunday, March 3rd. 3 January 2024The Division of Orthopaedics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) funds a select number of Medical Career Design (MCD) Fellowships to allow recent college graduates the opportunity to explore many aspects of a medical career — research, clinical practice, education, advocacy and leadership.
Each MCD fellow spends two years as an essential member of our research and clinical teams, mentored by our thought-leading faculty from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. CHOP’s Division of Orthopaedics was ranked #1 in the country by U.S. News & World Report for 2023-24.
Each fellow will be provided an annual stipend of $45,000 in year one and $50,000 in year two.
