University of Kentucky Master’s Program in Forensic Toxicology & Analytical Genetics Outside link
20 January 2025This two-year program has two areas of concentration: one concentration is focused on forensic toxicology/chemistry and the second on forensic/analytical genetics. Through the common core curriculum, students in both concentrations will have foundational information and skill set in advanced forensic science, writing, communication, professionalism, ethics, legal perspectives, and workplace-specific laboratory skills. Through a rigorous targeted finishing curriculum in either concentration, including internship experiences and cognate elective courses, the graduates will be competitive for workforce deployment in the areas of private industry drug testing, private DNA analysis, forensic governmental divisions, and hospital clinical labs.

Rush Medical College Virtual Application Prep Workshop
10 January 2025This virtual workshop will provide an in-depth review of the AAMC competencies, personal statements, and secondary applications. Participants will also partake in a mock interview. The Application Prep Workshop is designed to support students who have experienced social, economic, and/or educational disadvantages in their journey to medical education, come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and/or who represent groups that are known to be underrepresented in health-related sciences and medicine. Applicants must anticipate submitting an AMCAS application for the 2026 or 2027 entering class. Applicants must also be either a US citizen, permanent resident, or asylee/refugee. Apply here.

20 November 2024The mission of the University of Minnesota Pre-MSTP Mentorship Program is to provide individualized guidance for students interested in pursuing careers as physician-scientists. We strive to recruit and support individuals from diverse backgrounds of many forms. Our goal is to help students interested in pursuing the MD/PhD pathway by providing mentorship and advice regarding research opportunities, clinical interests, and MD/PhD applications. 3 October 2024The Molecular Pharmacology and Therapeutics (MPaT) Graduate Program has conferred over 350 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and 75 Master of Science (MS) degrees in Pharmacology, with most graduates applying their training to successful careers in academic, medical, industry, government, and regulatory agency settings. The MPaT Graduate Program currently offers MS and PhD degree programs and participates in joint degree (MD/PhD and JD/PhD) programs offered in partnership with the University of Minnesota Medical School and Law School.
