9/24 Undergraduate Research and Internship Symposium

7 September 2021

Carleton’s Undergraduate Research and Internship Symposium will be held in person, in the Weitz Commons, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm on Friday, October 15.  As we did last year, we have combined the annual research symposium with the annual internship symposium.  Because the symposium will coincide with Family Weekend as well as the inauguration of President Byerly, it will be an excellent opportunity for students to share their research or internship work with a wide audience of family and inauguration visitors.

The deadline to register and submit a title and abstract for the symposium is Friday, September 24.  Participants will also be required to submit the final version of their poster when they register.  Symposium organizers will print all of the posters and have them ready for participants at the symposium.  Note that this is a change in the process for research posters;  it is intended to reduce spikes in poster printing demand on Print Services.

The registration form and symposium website will be live by September 1.  In the meantime, if you are interested in making a poster for this session, you might wish to check out this video by Doug Foxgrover, with introductory commentary by Matt Whited, on how to prepare and present an effective poster.
