Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship

Sea Grant is excited to share the 2022 Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship opportunity.  This program seeks to increase undergraduate training in Great Lakes, oceanic, and atmospheric science, research, technology, and education.

What is it?

The scholarship funds two years (up to $9,500 per year) of full-time study and a 10-week, full-time paid ($700/week) internship at a National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) facility during the summer.

Why apply?

This scholarship offers financial aid and provides the scholars with hands-on, practical experience in NOAA-related science, research, technology, policy, management, and education activities.

Who can apply?

U.S. Citizens with greater than 3.0 GPA who are:

1. Full-time undergraduate students who are in the 2nd year of a 4-year, or 3rd year of a 5-year, program.

   OR

2. Community college or transfer students applying to a four-year institution.

Application Information and Deadlines

Applications are due by January 31st, 2022.
