Immigration? It’s More Universal than you Think
Melissa Grande, Samuel Kim, Aldo Polanco, LingYu Wei, Robin Rojas-Cheatham
These podcasts highlight three generations of a Japanese-American family currently residing in California and Hawaii. It details each generations journey across the globe, along with
statistics on international and domestic migration, relating back to our focus podcast on this same family. The portrayal of immigration in contemporary mainstream media is dominantly concerned about undocumented immigrants crossing the US-Mexico border and the refugee crisis in the Middle East.
Through our podcasts we aimed to address how the nature of immigration is not definite or exact.
