Line 3 is a pipeline expansion to bring nearly a million barrels of tar sands per day from Canada to Wisconsin. Proposed by Enbridge, a Canadian energy company responsible for the largest inland oil spill in the United States, Line 3 would pass through untouched Minnesota wetlands and violate the Anishinaabe treaty rights that allow for hunting, fishing, and gathering. The legacy of theft from and destruction of Indigenous peoples and territories is an ongoing injustice. While legal battles are being fought in the courts, on-the-ground protests have activists stopping Line 3 through non-violent direct action because all pipelines spill.
