WiPs Conference

17 September 2015

WiPs (Women in Physics) is an APS-recognized group on campus for anyone interested in physics whose gender identity is typically underrepresented in the field (women, trans*, gender-nonconforming). WiPs is a great community to be a part of, putting on awesome events each term and generally making all non-WiPs jealous of how much fun we have. If you’re interested in being on the WiPs contact list (and aren’t already), email Berit at goodgeb@carleton.edu. ALSO!! This fall we are taking a road trip to the Women in Physics (WoPhy) Conference hosted by the University of Nebraska – Lincoln Materials Center! The theme is Nano-Derby, but the conference will feature talks and programming about every part of physics and promises to be a great experience for everyone! We’ll leave October 15th and return on the 18th (but you have all Monday of midterm break to recover!) and the conference is FREE (plus you get a free shirt!)!!! Register HERE and please email Berit once you do so we can get a headcount! Let us know if you have any questions about WiPs, the conference, or anything else!
