VISTA opprotunities in Montana

In addition to working to people and communities escape poverty, Summer Associates receive benefits and support during and after successful completion of summer service:

·         A modest living allowance (approximately $447 every two weeks) to cover necessities during service.
·         Approximately $1,212 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award OR a $125/month summer end-of-service stipend.
·         The opportunity to work with influential community leaders and receive on-site orientation and training.
·         Support Not Provided: Summer Associates do not receive relocation allowances, health benefits, life insurance, childcare  support, or paid personal / medical leave.

In addition to working to people and communities escape poverty, Fully-Year Members receive benefits and support during and after successful completion of their year of service:

·         Monthly living allowance of approximately $973 per month (gross).
·         10 days of paid personal leave and 10 days of paid medical leave per full service year.
·         Health benefits.
·         $5,730 for graduate school or to repay student loans OR $1,500 post-service stipend.
·         Relocation assistance.
·         Child-care stipend for income-eligible members.
·         Training and professional development: VISTA members receive invaluable experience working directly with community leaders while honing essential skills that will last a lifetime.
