Don’t miss this opportunity to visit David Sterling ’06 at the University of Minnesota Health – Maple Grove Clinic, to learn about his career as a medical physicist. After majoring in Physics, David attended Duke University to get an MS in Medical Physics. Now, he works with physicians at one of the University’s Satellite Radiation Therapy clinics to develop patient-specific treatment plans that effectively treat their cancer with minimal side effects. He also completes quality assurance tests on all the equipment to ensure cancer patients get the safest treatments. David is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
During the visit, David plans to provide an overview of the patients path through radiation treatment, share how to become a medical physicist, and tour the department and equipment.
