UMN ‘Women in Physics’ Event for Undergraduate Physics Majors

13 September 2010
The event will open with an informal dinner with current UMN female graduate students, UMN physics faculty, and metro-area female undergraduates. This will be a good opportunity to meet and interact with other women in your field.
After dinner we will be hosting laboratory tours of various UMN physics research groups including condensed matter, biological physics, and cosmology labs. The lab tours will be followed by a panel discussion on physics research and physics graduate school. This will be an excellent opportunity to ask questions about physics research, graduate school applications, and grad school life in general.
While we will offer information primarily about the University of Minnesota graduate program, this event will have a broader focus for students interested in other schools and opportunities as well.
