Paid Internship Opportunity:
Analog Devices has a paid internship position for this summer available to junior physics majors (Jonah Shaw was was an intern for us last year).
Analog Devices is developing liquid crystal (LC) waveguide technology that was acquired from Colorado startup Vescent Photonics. This LC waveguide technology enables non-mechanical, electro-optic tunable beam steering. Working with Vescent Photonics founders and other key personnel, the chosen intern would help characterize these devices and their performance in complex electro-optical systems, including a LiDAR system. The chosen intern will develop a wide range of skills applicable in industry:
· Laser optics
· Laser alignment and characterization
· Using LabView and designing automated testing
· Liquid crystal physics
· Electronic circuit design and data processing
· Systems engineering
Ideal Qualifications:
· College junior majoring in physics or engineering
· Hands-on lab experience, ideally with lasers and optics.
· Broad exposure to physics, optics and electronics
· Mechanically inclined, hands-on, motivated worker
