Boyce Thompson Institute’s 2023 Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) is Now Accepting Applications!
The Boyce Thompson Institute is inspired by how plants work for humanity. Join a community of plant biologists, computer scientists, and engineers working to solve problems to improve agriculture, protect the environment and enhance human health.
We are currently seeking undergraduate students to join us in Ithaca, NY on Cornell’s campus for 10 weeks of hands-on experience research through one of our fully funded NSF & USDA funded programs: Plant Genome Research or Digital Agriculture REU! Learn More and Apply.

- Undergraduates researchers will receive a $6,000 stipend, $850 meal stipend, free housing, and up to $500 for travel

Our summer 2023 programs are a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience working alongside experts in the fields such as plant science research and technology development, bioinformatics, genetics, genomics, engineering and digital agriculture. Students will also receive interdisciplinary training opportunities in bioinformatics, science communication, exposure to new technology and research, as well as a strong mentoring to support pathways to graduate school and careers.
