Paid Summer Internship in Golden, CO with Analog Devices, Inc.

Description:

Analog Devices recently acquired liquid crystal (LC) waveguide technology from Colorado startup Vescent Photonics. This LC waveguide technology enables non-mechanical, electro-optic tunable beam steering. Working with Vescent Photonics founders and other key personnel, the chosen intern would help characterize these devices and their performance in complex electro-optical systems.  The chosen intern will develop a wide range of skills applicable in industry:

·         Laser optics

·         Laser alignment and characterization

·         Using LabView  and designing automated testing

·         Liquid crystal physics

·         Electronic circuit design and data processing

·         Systems engineering

Ideal Qualifications:

·         College student majoring in physics or engineering

·         Hands-on lab experience, ideally with lasers and optics.

·         Broad exposure to physics, optics and electronics

·         Mechanically inclined, hands-on motivated worked
