Opportunities with Dr. Ellen Zweibel

We are delighted to offer the following opportunities for students to join visiting Prof. Ellen Zweibel of the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She is an award-winning theoretical plasma astrophysicist.

Monday:

Monday 3a: Prof Zweibel will join the Thermo/Stat Mech class

Monday 4a (12:30)

All-genders WIPS student lunch with Prof. Zweibel, hosted by Sophie Rook and Ashley Carlson, who will bring her from her office (202) to the LDC. Contact them for details. LDC class of ’51 dining room is reserved.

Monday 6a (3:10-4:00.Olin 103.) Student discussion with Prof. Zweibel on what it takes to go to, enjoy, and succeed in  graduate school.  Refreshments served.

Monday 7 PM, Olin 141: Verbrugge Lecture:  “Cosmic Rays: The Rebels of Thermodynamics”.

Tuesday:

Tuesday 11:00-11:55 AM: Open student office hours with Prof. Zweibel in 202.

Tuesday 11:55 AM: Walk over from 3rd Olin to physics table in LDC with Prof. Zweibel. (She will be leaving physics table at 12:25 to catch her flight back.)
