Master’s program in Iceland

The University of Iceland is launching a new Master Program in Physics in partnership with Nordita (the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics). The program aims to provide students with up-to-date knowledge of contemporary physics in the main areas of astrophysics, condensed matter, and high energy physics, as well as solid training in applying the mathematical and numerical tools widely used in these fields.

Program Structure: 60 ECTS in graduate coursework and 60 ECTS research-based thesis project. Both of these components are provided in collaboration between UoI and Nordita Faculty.

Admission deadlines: February 1st for international students, April 15th for Icelandic and Nordic students. For additional information on admission procedure please contact the local organizers.
