Kolenkow-Reitz info session

2 February 2026

This upcoming event has the goal of better acquainting students with the funding options available from Carleton to support off-campus summer research in STEM fields. In particular, we will focus on the Kolenkow-Reitz Fellowship: What is the experience like? How can students find a prospective mentor? What makes a strong application? What are the parameters of the program?

The focus of the session will be 2-3 student panelists who can share their experiences and answer questions. Matt Whited from Chemistry will be there to talk about the fellowship, and Chad Ellsworth from the Career Center will provide information about using Career Center internship funding to support STEM research.
