The Women’s March network continues to organize its non-partisan efforts in support of women from all backgrounds. Wednesday, March 8 is International Women’s Day, and the group is organizing a few efforts. We invite you to considering some or all of the following actions:
1. Wear RED for the day to signify solidarity with women everywhere!
2. Make no purchases on the day except for at women-owned businesses. Consider making special donations to organizations aimed at helping women’s causes.
3. Join us at Bridge Square at noon on Wednesday. We will gather from 12:00-12:30 for a short rally recognizing and celebrating women’s work and contributions all around. There will be music, community, an opportunity to speak into a megaphone, and food from Maria’s Food Truck! We will take pictures to send to our elected representatives. See the event on Facebook.
