Position Title: Operations Specialist
Agriculture is facing huge pressures today unlike any generation before. Solving these new challenges demands
a radical new thinking. Our team is seeking an operations specialist to play a key role in developing to enable mass
adoption of regenerative agriculture practices through techniques in computational agriculture.
As an Operations Specialist, you will help our team with collecting valuable high quality data from our test fields
using a robotic platform that includes a variety of sensors (cameras, GPS, etc). You will also be responsible for performing
basic maintenance of the platform, as well as taking detailed notes on the performance of this device.

Role:
● Operations Specialist
● Based out of Brookings, South Dakota
● 3-5 month contract position (Based on applicants availability)
● Apr 1 – Aug 30
● 40 hours a week
● Report to Operations Manager
● Ability to travel to California for training at the start of contract (1 week travel, accommodations will be provided)
Job Description:
● Perform data collection from test fields on a daily basis.
● Perform Preventative Maintenance on prototypes on a scheduled basis.
● Onsite Technician to troubleshoot and maintain new equipment for data collection campaigns.
● Ensure data is uploaded on a timely manner.
● Secure all work equipment and charge all portable field devices.
● Keeping field logs up to date
● Assist with data labelling efforts from the experiment design team.
● Provide feedback to Engineering and Operations Teams on prototype usability.
Minimum Qualifications:
● Proven ability to work independently
● Work with Basic Hand and Power Tools
● Physically fit, ability to work outdoors in austere environments for 8 hours + per day
● Ability to provide clear and concise written and verbal feedback to Engineering and Operations Teams
● 2+ years experience working in outdoor operations
● Clean driving record (No DUIs, or more than 2 traffic violations during the previous 3 years)
Preferred Qualifications:
● Engineering, Biology, Environmental Science, Ag Sciences, and related degrees preferred
● Experience growing oats
● Experience with Agriculture
● Experience with Photography
● Experience with inventing
