Grad school workshop

If you are interested in attending graduate school, this Workshop may be something to look into! The TRIO McNair Scholars Program, Louis Stokes North Star STEM Alliance, TRIO Student Support Services, and the First-Generation Institute will be hosting a series of Virtual Bridge to the Doctorate Workshops over the course of AY 22-23. These 90-minute sessions are geared towards students who identify as first-generation college students, Pell-eligible, and/or from an underrepresented community who are seeking a pathway to transform systems and are considering a doctorate degree or going to graduate school. Students at any stage of their academic journey are encouraged and welcomed to attend.

 This workshop: ‘Why Pursue a Doctorate? Demystifying the Graduate School  Application and Selection Process will highlight the graduate school preparation and application process. Please join us – whether you know you will be going to graduate school or have an early interest in it – all are welcome!  We will have a panel of graduate school experts who will share their experiences as well, including two Ph.D. students, one MD/Ph.D. student, and one Postdoctoral Associate. Please join us on Wednesday, October 12, from 3:30 – 5:00 pm.
