The Quantum Industry has grown tremendously over the past decade and becomes more exciting with each new breakthrough and announcement. Quantum-secure communications systems have been demonstrated over hundreds of kilometers including over satellite links, Quantum algorithms are being developed to address some of society’s most challenging problems, and real operational Quantum Computers with hundreds of qubits have been deployed.
MQST is a one-year in-person graduate professional degree program designed to prepare students for careers in quantum science in private industry, national labs, and government agencies.
MQST is part of the UCLA Department of Physics & Astronomy with curriculum and teaching support from the Center for Quantum Science and Engineering and associated departments in the division of physical sciences and the school of engineering.
The program curriculum is tailored to students and early career professionals looking to enter the quantum industry workforce with a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that will enable them to seek opportunities with focused intent and present as attractive and highly prepared candidates to employers.
