Computational tools for Physics and Astronomy

3 March 2025

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Kansas is pleased to invite you to Bootcamp: Computational Tools for Physics and Astronomy, an initiative designed to equip undergraduate and graduate students with essential computational methodologies crucial for advancing their research careers. This bootcamp will introduce key concepts, demonstrate their application across various research domains, and provide hands-on practice to reinforce learning. The bootcamp will be offered both in-person and virtual. Lunch will be provided for those attending in-person.

In an era where artificial intelligence and rapidly evolving technology are transforming scientific inquiry, computational thinking and the ability to formulate algorithms are indispensable skills. This program aims to empower participants to develop frameworks that simplify and solve complex research problems effectively.

We encourage all students seeking to enhance their research capabilities through modern computational approaches to participate. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your technical skill set and prepare for the future of scientific exploration. see the schedule
