Volume 24, Issue 13A short note from Arjendu about arrivals and departures:
(a) You might have noticed Ryan Terrien is now on campus, joining us as tenure-track astronomer. He’s interested in exo-planets, and uses spectroscopic tools for his work. Please stop by the Department to stay hello if you want to know more about his work, or just to get to know him at physics table, etc.
Also, (b) Eric Hazlett is not returning to Carleton next year after his sabbatical but is moving on to an industrial position. Please ask him for more details.

Andres’ new book!
Volume 24, Issue 13- Andrés Aragoneses,Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics and Astronomy, published a science fiction book, Mundo pequeño (Small World), in Spanish. Through the plot, he presents some physics science in a rigorous way (topics such as complex networks, cosmology or evolution).
