Our unique M.S. In Space Studies combines study of space engineering, aerospace, life sciences, with courses in management, business and communication, plus a practical work experience. This unique combination of an interdisciplinary curriculum and hands-on experience enables students to move seamlessly into the scientific/technical workforce.
It trains scientists/ engineers to face challenges in human/robotic space exploration and space policy. Space Studies graduates are pursuing careers in a variety of different areas in space-related occupations, for example, as space technicians, payload specialists, etc. or have found positions in the commercial space sector, national laboratories, science/research organizations, law firms, medical centers, education sector, military, and public relations.
RECOMMENDED BACKGROUND
- B.A. or B.S. degree in physics/astronomy and/or engineering , with a min GPA of 3.0
- Scores from the general Graduate Record Examination (GRE), with a quantitative score above 150
- Completed course work in scientific calculus, differential equations and linear algebra.
- Preparation in statistics recommended.
