Come to the Ground State area (lower level of Anderson) on Tuesday (tomorrow) for phizza (ok, it’s a reach) and phellowship with other PHAS pholk. Stop by between noon and 1 (on the early side, or Jay and Aaron will eat all the ‘zza) to grab a bite and say hi to everyone.

Winter Physics Fair
All students are invited to stop by the Ground State (lower level of Anderson Hall) on Friday the 13th for the Physics Fair! Come between 3:30 and 5:00 pm to check out the Makerspace, see and try out various Physics demos, talk to students about various department organizations (PUGS, IDEA, CARS) and faculty about doing research with them. There will be the aforementioned fun demos, snacks, and prizes!

U of T has teamed up with Univ. Paris-Saclay, Uni. Roma La Sapienza, & the Universidade do Porto to offer a fully-funded, 2-year, international Master’s programme in Quantum Science & Technology. Applications are due February 28th.

The Department of Physics at Emory University is inviting applications to their doctoral program. The department has a very lively and close-knit research environment active in biophysics, condensed matter physic, optics, soft matter physics and statistical physics. Currently, they have ~60 graduate students and ~20 research-active faculty performing cutting-edge research in both experimental and theoretical physics.

The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory invites undergraduate students to apply to paid internships at PPPL and its partner institutions this summer. PPPL is a Department of Energy national lab at Princeton University.
