This is an opportunity for first-years and sophomores to learn about many different sorts of academic options available to them–majors, concentrations, pre-professional programs, and more. Mayo Clinic Graduate School
Greetings from Mayo Clinic.
I would like to share the enclosed information about the Mayo Clinic Graduate School and my own research program with all undergraduate students. We have an excellent graduate program in BME with a breadth of world class research programs. All accepted students are fully funded for 5 years.
I am a faculty member in the BME program and – having received 4 R01-level NIH awards in the past year – am actively recruiting new students and post-docs with an interest in medical imaging, image perception theory, CT image acquisition and reconstruction, and novel CT detector technology. Students can learn more about me and my lab at the following link, and email me directly if they’d like to find out more information.

Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the overview page to see a short documentary on CT imaging that I “directed” as part of organizing our recognition of the 40 year anniversary of CT imaging in North America. It’s amazing to see what has been accomplished in the medical imaging field in such a relatively short timeframe.
Also, for those who are not off to grad school yet, please know that we offer Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships. I usually have 2-3 students in my lab each summer. The stipends pay $5000 for a 10 week program.
