  • The Fukushima Reactor Accidents: Basics and Lessons to be Learned

    May 5 (Thursday) 5:00pm, Olin 04

    Joel Weisberg will demonstrate and describe the basic principles of nuclear electric power generation and nuclear radiation, before discussing what went wrong at Fukushima and the possible future outcomes of still-unfolding events there.  He will then examine the Fukushima events as they illuminate unrecognized or unacknowledged dangers elsewhere in our highly technological world.

  • 2011 Spring Picnic
