• Senior Meeting

    September 30 (Wednesday) 3:15-4:20pm, Olin 04

    All senior physics majors should plan to attend this important meeting to discuss your senior year and preparing for life after Carleton. Any juniors thinking of doing comps this year should also plan to attend. Refreshments will be served.

    October 1 (Thursday) 12:00-1:00pm, LDC 115

    Plan to have lunch with physics students, faculty, and staff at the LDC at noon. We can meet on 3rd Olin for the short walk over, or you can meet us there.

  • All Science and Math Poster Session

    The All Science and Math Sigma Xi Poster Session is scheduled for Friday, October 23 in the Hulings Atrium. All students who did summer research at Carleton or elsewhere are strongly encouraged to make a poster and share their work with the science community. All students participating in this event must register by Oct. 9 by filling out the form here. CISMI will pay for the cost of poster printing for all registered participants. After registering, take your poster file to Printing Services and ask them to print it – be sure to tell them it is for the All Math and Science Poster Session.

    Physics & Astronomy Fall Picnic

    October 9 (Friday) 4:00-8:00pm, Hill of Oaks

    All Physics & Astronomy students faculty and staff are invited to the annual fall picnic. Two seniors are needed to help organize this event. Please contact Mary mdrew@carleton.edu if you can help. Please RSVP here for this event on or before Thursday, Oct. 1.
