Student Pulsar Researchers Wanted
Joel is looking for students interested in doing pulsar research with him. Minimum two-term commitment requested, hopefully much longer. The first term will be mostly involved with learning the basics of pulsars and computing; slowly ramping up into research on a variety of pulsar-related subjects, and possibly including trips to radio observatories. There is a good chance of funded summer research for the successful applicants. See the “Research Projects” letter you received at the beginning of the year (http://apps.carleton.edu/curricular/physics/for_students/projects/) or contact Joel for more details. If you are interested, let Joel know by Wednesday, Nov 14. Include information on your interest and relevant background and availability over the next two terms and summer.
