• Seniors Meeting

    All senior physics majors should plan to attend this important meeting to discuss your senior year and preparing for life after Carleton. Any juniors thinking of doing comps this year should also plan to attend. Refreshments will be served.

    Welcome to the Physics and Astronomy Department. Please check with your supervisor soon to arrange your work schedule. Timesheets are located in a white binder on a shelf outside the department office( Olin 331). We are looking forward to another great year. Any questions as Arjendu or Mary.

  • SDAs

    The Student Departmental Advisors for 2006-07 ar Melina Blees and John McDonough. SDAs are available to all students who want to talk to a knowledgeable, experienced uperclass student about physics and astronomy courses and registration. Please give them a call if you want the real scoop from a student’s perspective.

  • Columbia University Engineering Program Informational Meeting

    September 14 (Thursday), 4:00PM, Olin 202

    Karen Sagall, a Columbia University Admissions Officer, will present information about Columbia’s academic life, extracurricular programs, admission and financial aid. Anyone interested in dual degree opportunities in engineering or the masters degree program at Columbia are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.

  • Phun Physics Picnic

    Set asside Friday afternoon, September 29 (4:00-7:30 PM) for the annual Phun Physics Picnic on the Hill of Three Oaks. Two seniors are needed to plan the festivities. Please see Mary in Olin 331 if you can help.

  • Physics Table

    September 14 (Thursday) 12:00-1:00 p.m., LDC 113

    Plan to have lunch with physics students and staff at the LDC at noon. We can meet on 3rd Olin at 11:55 for the short walk over or you can meet us there. All are welcome.

  • Sophomore Meeting
