Bruce, the retiring Laurence McKinley Gould Professor of Natural Sciences, will give his last lecture entitled A Love Affair with Lasers, and a Few Other Flings in which he looks back at his 39 year teaching career at Carleton. A reception will follow in the Olin lobby.

Dance Lessons

Our own social dance physicists and friends will be giving dance lessons in Great Hall. Anyone wishing to brush up their dancing skills before the Physicists’ Ball is welcome to attend.

The Physicists’ Ball
Friday, May 5, Great Hall, 8-10 pm
In honor of the retirement of Professor Bruce Thomas, you are cordially invited to the Physicists’ Ball. There will be a short presentation at 8:00 followed by an evening of dancing and conversation. This is an informal formal. Duct tape accessories are optional.
