Friday, April 14, Olin 04, 1:10-2:10 pm
Kelsey, an alum from the class of ’95, is an Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Her presentation will be about her recent research on adolescent globular clusters in the local universe. These globulars are typically the oldest star clusters known, but recent Hubble Space Telescope observations have revealed young globular clusters that formed in extreme environments such as those created by galaxy collisions. All are invited to attend.
