• The Consortium for Undergraduate Research and Education in Astronomy (CUREA) is hosting an in-residence educational program at Mount Wilson Observatory for the 17th year. The program, which runs from July 16 through 29, is aimed at undergraduate physics and astronomy majors with junior or senior standing who are considering a career in science or teaching.     The National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network is hosting REUs for the summer of 2006. Approximately 50 positions will be filled at nine participating sites. Selected students will undertake a hands-on nanofabrication research project with applications in bioengineering, chemistry, electronics, material science, optics, optoelectronics, and physics.
