Virtual Bonfire!
The weather is turning cold, so doesn’t a bonfire sound good? For those of you who responded to the email survey that went out, it was decided that THIS Friday, 10/23 starting at 8 pm is when it should happen! All majors, pre-majors, faculty, and staff were invited to join in the fun in GatherTown.
See Gregor and Freja (your SDAs) about getting a little care package with the ingredients to make yourself s’mores and hot chocolate.

Optics and Photonics Winter School and Workshop
Any student is welcome to express interest in attending The Optics and Photonics Winter School and Workshop that is typically held at the University of Arizona. This year, the School and Workshop will be held entirely virtually Jan. 5-7, 2021. The timing isn’t great for Carleton’s winter term, but Carleton students who have participated in the past have found it a valuable experience. For more information, please check out https://wp.optics.arizona.edu/winter-school-workshop/. You must be nominated in order to apply. Please contact Marty Baylor by Friday, October 23rd 5pm if you are interested in being nominated with a brief explanation of why you would like to attend. Marty is only able to nominate up to three students, so if there are more people interested than able to attend, Marty will use the brief explanation to select the three students to attend. -
