Guiding Students

Guidance and volunteerism are important charges for members of the Parents Advisory Council. Members go beyond guiding their own students to help other Carls and their communities.

Parents Advisory Council members are expected to establish and develop relationships with Carleton students with a focus on career guidance, community service and political engagement.

All Roles & Responsibilities

Career Guidance

Members are an important resource for Carleton students and alumni who are furthering their careers. Informational interviews can be useful for sharing career options and pathways. Every connection helps, and members can also help connect Carls to industry colleagues for jobs, internships and externships.

Community Service & Political Engagement

Members can also serve as role models for Carleton students and alumni by sharing stories of the impact they have had on their communities, balancing volunteering and political service with careers and families.
