As Senate’s chartering arm, Governance Committee reviews organization charters.
The CSA Charter process is regulated by CSA Senate Bylaws Article IV. Please read them fully before submitting your charter.
“Chartering” your student organization will…
- Allow it to apply for Spring Allocations funding through Budget Committee
- Place it on the official list of organizations
- Give you access to a Carleton-maintained student organization website
- Create a Hub student organization account to manage your groups finances
- Place the officers on a mailing list for information about the Student Activities Fair, student organization budgets, etc.
Your organization does NOT need a charter to hold meetings, apply for Budget Committee funding, reserve campus spaces, program events, create a listserv, etc.
