The Office of Intercultural Life (OIL) invites you to commemorate 40 years of Forward Progress in tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on January 19, 2026. While MLK Jr. Day became a national holiday in 1983, however, it was first observed in 1986 . This year marks 40 years since the first celebration. Join us for a catered dinner and remarks that honor the legacy of Dr. King and the visioning of the next forty years.

The program will include featured campus speakers and a catered dinner.
