Saturday Morning at the Arch of Constantine

Saturday Morning at the Arch of Constantine

Saturday, 6 April. Dedicated to the Emperor Constantine in 315, this triumphal arch–located next to the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum–marked the beginning of the Rome OCS program’s series of site visits. After sketching the Arch, we moved to visit the Colosseum itself and the church of San Clemente with its fascinating multi-level excavations.
